Just Ten Minutes Walk to the Town Centre and Only 20 Miles From Central London
Image 1

The busy riverside heritage town centre of Gravesend is a few minutes walk away and has comprehensive shopping facilities with most of the major outlets represented. Famous for the concentration of public houses within the town boundaries, Gravesend also boasts restaurants to suit
all tastes.

Just 20 miles from central London and
8 miles from the M25 motorway, the Embankment Marina already has excellent motorway and public transport links. The opening of the High Speed Rail Link offers a 20 minute train journey direct from Gravesend Station to St Pancras via the new Ebbsfleet International station, three miles away and Stratford. By water, the Embankment Marina is conveniently located on the south bank of the Thames, approximately half way between the mouth of the Thames estuary and Tower Bridge (St Katherine's Haven). The distance to Tower Bridge is 23nm, which can be accomplished by most craft on one tide. The Embankment Marina also provides an excellent stop-over point to catch tides in either direction.  Within a short journey by bus or rail, Bluewater shopping centre to the west has a deserved reputation as the prime shopping location in the south of England whilst, to the east, the City of Rochester-upon-Medway offers 2000 years of history from the castle and cathedral to the historic dockyard where Nelson's flagship, Victory was built.

Lock Access to the Thames

The Embankment Marina is linked to the Thames by a single lock. Downstream, Chatham and the historic City of Rochester are 26 miles away by sea. Upstream, Tower Bridge is 23 miles. The Marina provides an excellent overnight stop-over or a base to explore the Thames estuary or visit London and (height permitting) the upper reaches of the Thames.
